I
love teaching yoga.
I love the challenge of coming up with interesting
and imaginative classes – and this is quite a challenge since many
of my students have been with me over 8-10 years!
I am constantly
amazed by the fantastic shifts I witness. Someone who was convinced
they could never balance, suddenly, is grinning ear to ear as she
does Standing Stick.
Someone who “hated” their body, is now
more at home with her particular size and shape.
Someone who thought
Yoga was about forcing her body into “impossible”, pretzel
shapes understands that
Yoga is about acceptance and nurturing, not perfection.

My motto is an adaptation of an Irish proverb:
“Do
yoga with the abandon and freedom of a ten-year-old.
Dance as
if no one were watching.
Sing as if no one were listening.
And
live every day as if it were your last.”
